Ion implantation of polymers for metallisation
Funding or Partner Organisation: Australian Institute of Nuclear Science & Engineering (AINSE grants)
Start year: 2002
Summary: This project is part of on-going research on new metallisation methods of polymers for a variety of applications. The project is a continuation of an AINSE supported project on polymer metallisation assisted by ion implantation. The objective of this work is to examine the influence of morphology and patterning on the plating of ion implanted polymer surfaces. The goal is to develop a procedure for obtaining a uniform metallic coating on the implanted surfaces.
