Summary: The recent introduction of written compacts (often also called partnerships and agreements ) between all Australian state governments and the community sector offers the promise of meaningful coproduction of public policy through better recognition of the importance of their advocacy role. In order to ensure that the new compacts continue to be responsive to the needs of both government and community organisations this project will identify performance indicators for effective outcomes in the context of the compacts and will create evaluative frameworks for their future development.
