Diversity in Innovation - Stage One

Project Member(s): Jakubowicz, A.

Funding or Partner Organisation: Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences / Migration Heritage Centre (Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences T/as The Migration Heritage Centre)

Start year: 2013

Summary: The MHC-UTS research partnership project, Diversity in Innovation - Stage One, will focus on cultural diversity in Australian innovation across the Powerhouse Museum (PHM) collection areas of science, technology, decorative arts and society (social history). This approach complements the PHM 2009-12 Strategic Plan¿s statement of purpose - To discover and be inspired by human ingenuity - and will draw together creative industries and traditional and heritage skills, in line with PHM¿s `nexus¿ vision. The Stage One research partnership will both scope a broader, large-scale MHC-UTS-PHM program for 13/14 and beyond (a potential `Stage Two¿) as well as provide more immediate content for the MHC website.
