Summary: A number of Design-led Innovation interventions have already taken place in Australia . Whilst anecdotally these interventions have been successful there is no research base here in Australia to understand the impact such interventions have delivered and furthermore whether such interventions can be applied more broadly. It is now proposed to address this gap through an industry led, evidenced based analysis of what is currently happening in Industry. This will both inform the establishment of a future direction and embed capability across the manufacturing sector. Our strategic intent here is for industry to be actively involved in the process, to achieve buy-in and to provide a platform that can be scaled across the sector.
