Summary: The extension project aims to implement a key recommendation of the recent Curriculum Renewal Study (CRS), i.e. the need to establish inclusive and ongoing structures and processes to provide national leadership in the development of Interprofessional Education (IPE) across higher education, health, the professions and government. To achieve this, the project team proposes to convene two significant national forums, aiming to establish a sustainable interprofessional and cross-sector approach to national leadership and capacity building in IPE. The forums will engage key bodies and individuals from higher education, health, the professions, health consumer bodies and government, many of whom we consulted in the CRS and other studies.
