Summary: Unforseeable changes to patterns that underly data (Concept Drift) occur in all organisational data and make subsequent prediction less accurate as time passes, leading to poor decision outcomes. To solve these problems, this project will develop novel Competence Models to reflect and detect concept drift, and integrate them into Decision Support Systems (DSS) to innovatively provide DSS with adaptivity for concept drift environments. These cutting-edge technologies for adaptive learning research will provide practical benefit to the Australian Government and industry by smartly using existing data to enhance decision making and data analytics, and scientific benefit by the introduction of a new research field, Adaptive Data-Driven DSS.
