Summary: A number of new system development methods, models and tools have emerged to deal with the complex undertaking of modern system development ¿ from the traditional single-site to communication focused multi-site distributed global software development environment (GSD). The aim of this research is to assist GSD organizations in the assessment and adoption of emerging social computing tools for globally distributed projects.
