Mandate - Mobilising And Transforming Teacher Education Pedagogles (Eramsus+Key Action 2 Cross-Sectoral Strategic Partnership Project) - Admin Hull University

Project Member(s): Kearney, M.

Funding or Partner Organisation: European Commission (Erasmus)

Start year: 2014

Summary: This project targets the theme of Modernising Practices in Higher Education and aims to modernise many of the pedagogical approaches which underpin much of Higher Education and particularly those which are specific to Teacher Education, where evidence indicates Information and Communication Technologies are used predominantly in the preparation of teaching resources rather than to support or transform teaching and learning. itself Building upon the partnersÂż experience in using mobile technologies to support and enhance learning in Higher Education (tablets) this cross-sectoral project will share this expertise with partners in other HE institutes by producing a mobile learning toolkit and associated training resources/exemplars to support teacher educators and the wider teaching profession in examining their existing pedagogical practices in order to ensure trainees are suitably qualified with 21st century skills, making them more employable and competitive. In so doing, it will leverage additional benefits and changes in schools beyond academia where newly qualified teachers undertake their teaching placements. NOTE: This project is funded
