Design & Emotion conference - How deep is deep? A four-layer model of insights into human needs for design innovation

Project Member(s): van der Bijl-Brouwer, M.

Funding or Partner Organisation: Ian Potter Foundation (Ian Potter Foundation Travel and Conference)

Start year: 2014

Summary: In this project we explored how insights in human needs can support the design innovation process, in particular in innovation in the public sector. For this purpose we developed a model of four levels of human insights for design innovation based on a literature research and a case-study in the context of social housing. We will present the results of this study at the 9th international conference on Design & Emotion, 6-10 October, Bogota, Colombia.
