Development of a 20m span Bridge for PNG using Engineered Wood Products

Summary: Develop simple bridge abutment design using sill beams and possibly gabions, or perhaps poured RC pier supports, but avoiding the use of driven piles, particularly in PNG and other Pacific Island countries where equipment for drilling is difficult to procure at the best of times. It should be noted that the abutments will be designed based on the structural loads and design life agreed between the research team (UTS) and the client (PNGFP)
