Association of literacy and numeracy with adult health and socioeconomic outcomes
Project Member(s): Cronin, P.
Start year: 2015
Summary: The aim of the proposed research is to investigate the association of poor literacy and numeracy with health, education, employment, income and social outcomes in adulthood. We will build on previous studies to: 1) consider the impact of literacy and numeracy skills on a range of outcomes to more fully reflect the potential benefits of interventions that improve these skills. 2) model the simultaneous relationships between these variables to control for endogeneity bias.
