Summary: Sydney Water engaged ACELG to undertake customer research to inform Sydney Water's submission to the 2015 Independent Pricing and Regulation Tribunal price review process. The research sought to understand customer values and views toward a range of stormwater service charge scenarios. The aim of the research was to understand whether customers and non-customer of Sydney Water preferences for different ways to approach charging for stormwater services, and how willingness to pay for stormwater services changes changes depending on scenario preferences, customer type, demographics, values and spatial location. The methodology involves 10 focus groups, an online panel, and a deliberative panel.
