Vehicle objects detection and road terrain classification

Summary: Safety of road vehicles is an important research area which is supported by the Jilin Province government, China. We will investigate two main parts of the research: the object identification (using laser and camera), and the road terrain classification. This is a research collaboration between the Changchun University of Science and Technology, CUST and the Centre for Autonomous Systems , UTS team. At this point, a research proposal has been developed by A/Prof Shifeng Wang at CUST (in Chinese) and planning to apply for funding: to support travel funding to establish the collaborations.
