Project Member(s): Hastings, C.

Funding or Partner Organisation: Blacktown City Council (Blacktown City Council Partnership Funding)

Start year: 2014

Summary: ACELG has been engaged by Blacktown City Council to undertake research to gain an in-depth understanding of the public perceptions of Blacktown CBD. Council is seeking to understand public perception of the CBD as a place to visit, invest, reside, work and shop, at day and at night. The information gathered through this project will inform Council CBD planning and economic program, as well as feed into Council's long term community strategic framework. The proposed approach for this project includes a desktop document and demographic review, stakeholder identification and mapping, in-depth interviews, walk-up surveys, an online survey and focus groups. The results from these tasks will inform the analysis of key findings which will be reported and presented to Council.
