FPGA Software Development for CSIRO Wireless Communications Projects

Project Member(s): Huang, X., Zhang, H.

Funding or Partner Organisation: Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation)

Start year: 2015

Summary: This project is to provide consulting services and FPGA (field programmable gate array) software development assistance to CSIRO's wireless communications projects. CSIRO is currently conducting various projects involving considerable FPGA programming and digital signal processing tasks and is seeking assistance from UTS to accelerate the project progress. UTS's Global Big Data Technologies Centre recently acquired a technical assistant who has extensive FPGA development skills and is suitable for providing such services and assistance to CSIRO. On the other hand, we like to use this opportunity to provide more training to this technical assistant such that he would play a critical role and contribute significantly to UTS's research projects after his return.
