Summary: The short term aims of the proposed research project: (a) understand how parents, teachers and children use mobile devices/social media at home and in schools (particularly in the area of literacy) (b) evaluate the effectiveness (or not) of the integration of mobile devices/social media into class literacy programs and individual learning plans for children experiencing literacy difficulties (c) develop a framework for parents/teachers to effectively evaluate literacy `apps¿ used on mobile devices for literacy development
