Summary: The research is focused on developing an understanding of the effectiveness of various treatment technologies (co-agulation, precipitation, Ni/Ag impregnated Granular activated carbon and zeolite) in treating gaswork wastewater. The wastewater from coal gasification facilities (“gasworks”) typically comprises a complex mixture of TPH, BTEX, PAH, nitrogen species and heavy metals.
