Summary: General Focus of the research project • Improving student writing skills through a focus on the implementation of the general capability of ‘critical and creative thinking’ in the English K-10 Syllabus. • Improving teacher: capacity as writers; knowledge of, confidence in, and pedagogical skills, in the teaching of writing; knowledge and skills in action research. Other focus areas of the research • Developing teacher and student skills and confidence in writing. • Developing school ‘communities of writers’ with ongoing teacher and student participation.
