Cross-Domain Distributed Data Analytics
Funding or Partner Organisation: National ICT Australia
Start year: 2015
Summary: A current and future trend is that enterprises are increasingly collaborating with each other by jointly sharing and analysing respective data recourses which were previously disparate from each other, so that they can jointly identify new market opportunities such as niche market towards new major markets. For example, a flight booking company can jointly analyse its data with a supermarket company so that they can identify customers' behaviour in a better accurate way for better customer recommendation for more sales. For instance, if a customer always shops in the evening in a supermarket, then the flight booking company should push more air ticket recommendation for evening flights rather than morning ones to the customer for better sales rate.
