Technology and Prototype Development of Human Action Recognition in Shopping and CheckOut Areas

Summary: This project will investigate the related technologies and patents for application in the shopping environment including the abnormal shopping behaviours at the Point of Sale (POS) & the mobile shopping carts. This project is the next stage of our current project -- technology survey of human action recognition for Toshiba TTC and Toshiba Australia. In this project, certain technologies of human action recognition will be investigated to meet the requirement for Toshiba. The research proposal and recommendation in section 6 of the technology survey report will be adopted.
