Summary: Cancer Council NSW are seeking expressions of interest from research companies/consultants to conduct an analysis of opportunities for Cancer Council NSW within the palliative care space. The objectives of this project are to: • Scope the external palliative care market (including other Cancer Councils) to gain an understanding of potential gaps in the palliative care market • Scope the palliative care literature to gain a better understanding of patient needs and potential gaps in service provision • Provide recommendations of where and how CCNSW can value add to the palliative care field in line with CCNSW capabilities, strategic directions, and budgetary considerations. Project scope The review should include analysis of literature 2013-current and palliative care services, resources and programs available in NSW. This includes services, resources, and programs that are produced in other States and Territories across Australia. Identified gaps in service and/or the field should be matched to CCNSW’s strategic priorities and be within the scope of the organisation to implement. Recommendations should be made for market entry at a low, medium, and high budget.
