Summary: In horticulture and viticulture uncertainty around harvest timing and yields leads to inefficient allocation of labour and equipment, with substantial costs to growers and throughout supply chains. Harvest dates and yields are affected by weather, but in complex ways that are not well known. This project will create and deliver to growers predictive models of harvest date and yield in viticulture and berry crops by combining: 1. Existing microclimate sensing capabilities, crop models, and cloud computing and app solutions of The Yield 2. Crop data from major Australian growers 3. Microclimate and crop modelling expertise of UTS
