Project Member(s): Liu, R., Zhu, T., Wang, X., Abolhasan, M.

Start year: 2020

Summary: This pilot project is aimed at building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on DLT. The MVP will be a proof of concept system on Blockchain for inventory management. This project aims to develop a DLT platform, based on blockchain technologies, without the presence of a central trust authority (often referred as a trustless system) to enable trust management of BT Global’s inventory. The MVP serves as a pilot for future large-scale development, where we will build a decentralised yet trusted real-time intelligent inventory management and SLA management for BT Global. To do so, several proof-of-concepts (PoCs) will be developed in an agile manner to replace legacy systems. This MVP will be the first PoC for the planned development. Moreover, research will be carried out onto current DLT solutions to provide the necessary scalability, distributed consensus, privacy and security these systems need.
