Predictive analytics for the detection of leaks and breaks in CBD areas - Sensing
Project Member(s): Valls Miro, J.
Funding or Partner Organisation: Sydney Water Corporation
Sydney Water Corporation
Start year: 2020
Summary: SW project approved for $650,000 (2 UTS teams, RI and DSI, $325 each) for the development of analytical tools to support the acoustic sensor leak detection techniques currently being assessed for full implementation and the forecast 50% reduction in reactive repair work, and savings in non-accounted for water losses from the Network. The sensors will contribute to the Active Leak Detection program including improving night flow calculations and leak prediction modelling.
