Summary: Superior high-power electronic devices are urgently required to develop and deliver energy-efficient, costeffective, renewable electricity sources and storage systems for use in emerging technologies, such as solar and wind energy systems, electric vehicles and industrial robotics. Once fabricated with the necessary electrical properties, oxide materials can provide fast high-voltage electronic switches, convertors and other components with enhanced performance and unique features. This project aims to combine frontier techniques in nanocharacterisation with complementary expertise in semiconductor growth to provide high-quality oxides that will enable fabrication of next generation of reliable all-oxide high power electronic devices.
