Summary: This study will explore what is behind the Pain/Discomfort dimension of the EQ-5D-5L, drawing comparisons to other pain and discomfort items collected in the Extending the Quality-Adjusted Life Year (E-QALY) psychometric study in Australia. Overall, findings from this study will provide a better understanding of the Pain/Discomfort dimension of the EQ-5D-5L, including implications for the complementary use of the EQ-5D-5L and E-QALY, and the future bolt-on agenda.
