Start year: 2021
Summary: The objectives of the proposed study are: · Compare NOM removal and floc strength resulting from different functionalised PEI and polydadmac · Determine the best ratios of mixtures of functionalised polyelectrolytes · Explain the mechanisms of NOM removal and increase in floc strength obtained by the different polyelectrolytes using zeta potential, charge density and LC OCD measurements · Filter trials in the field with different functionalized PEI and polydadmac · Mathematical modelling of filter operations to minimize polymer dose in a significant manner
