Summary: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander remote communities deserve efforts to address cultural learning differences, engagement and relevancy in technical education are not in place in Australian Academic institutions. So, in-line with Australian government inclusion efforts and Google efforts such as “Rare with Google” initiate, this research intends to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young communities and equip them with the needed technical skills to solve applied problems in their local communities. A Machine Learning course that addresses the unique history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders will be developed. A participatory content design approach will be used to introduce Machine Learning content that include case studies relevant to the challenges and problems faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander such as Healthcare, education, diversity and inclusion.
