Summary: Part 1: The UTS Phyto Lab proposes to apply our research into native and exotic phytoremediation with Aerotropolis. We can explore the use phytoremediation as an environmentally-friendly and non-destructive method to effectively clean the soils on each site before site works commence. In addition, we can explore trialling native Australian plantings for the final site designs and support plans for fully-sustainable and biodiverse site restorations. This project connects landscape design and plant science together as a new partnership.
