Summary: Inadequate connectivity remains a significant issue for Australians in rural and remote locations. Zetifi in collaboration with UTS is developing technology to solve connectivity problems in areas with little or no mobile coverage to provide fast and reliable connectivity that increases productivity, profitability, safety and quality of life. RFCT-UTS researchers will design and develop new types of antennas integrated with a custom radiofrequency module to enable long-range communication in smart farms. The CSU Global Digital farm will be used to deploy a farm wide long range Wi-Fi network that can be used to baseline off the shelf RF systems against custom designed systems developed by UTS and Zetifi.
