Start year: 2023
Summary: The Hub aims to establish a robust value proposition for substantially increased use of timber for buildings in Australia. It plans to enable integrated transformation of the construction and timber production sectors, by addressing the diverse elements required to motivate investment, stimulate innovation, satisfy stakeholder demands, define long-term socio-enviro-economic benefits and establish a roadmap for change. The expected outcomes are interventions that kickstart the change process, supported by growth in advanced manufacturing across the value chain which future proof the construction sector against transition to a circular and net-zero economy, while stimulating an opportunity for regional development and resource diversification
FOR Codes: Architecture, Intelligent robotics, Expanding knowledge in built environment and design, Environmentally sustainable construction activities
