Research quality and risk of bias in sport science and medicine

Summary: This project will focus on the meta-research in sport science and medicine studies. Specifically, the research will evaluate the quality of reporting, risk of bias and methodological issues of experimental and non-experimental studies in the context of competitive sport. This analysis will provide an improved understanding of whether the available literature provides an acceptable quality for decision-making and will identify critical areas of for improving sport science and sport medicine research. The program of research will be used to inform where improvements in the national sport science research agenda can be achieved.
