A literature review report on scaleup firms and the scaleup landscape in NSW compared to other Australian states and internationally

Summary: Discussions at a recent NSW Innovation and Productivity Council (IPC) meeting included a suggestion that while startups in NSW appear to be doing well, and that the startup ecosystem has a strong focus from Government, industry and research, NSW is not seeing many scaleup firms and there is not a strong policy or program focus on this issue. To better understand the current landscape and any potential issues, research team will conduct a literature review report on scaleup firms and the scaleup landscape in NSW compared to other Australian states and internationally. The literature review report will contribute to Investment NSW’s evidence-based overview of scaleup firms and landscape that it will present at the June IPC meeting.
