Summary: This project aims to generate knowledge to utilise the extraordinary properties of nanobubbles in water and the strong oxidation capability of ozone for effective and energy efficient water treatment. The new ozone nanobubble technology will be evaluated against specific organic contaminants and pathogens with a focus on water recycling, which is a key strategy for resilient water supply in Australia. Energy consumption and contaminant removal efficiency by the proposed ozone nanobubble technology will be benchmarked against the current state of the art ozonation process and reverse osmosis.

FOR Codes: Wastewater treatment processes, Water recycling services (incl. sewage and greywater)
