Summary: The project is 12 months in total, with the possibility of an additional three years of funding. Jumbunna is providing expert advice on justice reinvestment for this tender as a subcontractor, with Ninti One leading the tender. Stage 1 of the project will be preparation for community facing work in Stage 3. Stage 1 involves development of a 'readiness' tool that communities will use to assess their readiness to apply for Federal Government funding; development and roll out of an Expression of Interest (EOI) process/documentation; and preparation of community resources for Stage 3. Stage 2 involves selection of 6 communities to work with in Stage 3, recruitment of local Aboriginal community engagement team members to help with Stage 3, and first visits/consultations with communities. Stage 3 will be more intensively focused on working with communities selected in Stage 2 to progress work with justice reinvestment, including to apply for funding. Ninti One will be responsible for the funding aspect of the project (includes administering funding process). Milestones are to be determined in consultation with the Attorney Generals Department.
