Summary: The project aims to answer the following research question: What are the principal drivers of information disorder and, consequently, what policy and industry interventions are likely to be most effective? The project will proceed via one or more sub-projects that focus on specific 'hot' issues of information disorder in the Australian media, online environment and society more broadly. The research will include analysis of digital platform governance and regulation, media practice and regulation, media content analysis, and social media content and networks. Data sources will include media and social media content and interviews.
