Summary: The overall objective of this research project is to study and develop an AI-based emergency response system for disaster prevention and assessment of property damage after catastrophic events. Through this system, we aim to enhance the speed and accuracy of disaster response, maximizing the protection of human lives and property. 1. We will conduct in-depth research on current emergency response strategies and assessment methods, including both traditional approaches and AI-based methods, to understand their advantages and limitations. 2. We will develop an AI model using multimodal data specifically tailored for individual buildings, which can predict the potential extent of property damage in future or potential disasters. This will aid in taking preventive measures before disasters occur. 3. We will design and implement an algorithm capable of automated semantic segmentation of satellite and drone images, enabling rapid and accurate identification of building and infrastructure damage in disaster-affected areas. 4. We will develop a disaster detection system with a user-friendly interface, which can be integrated into mainstream operating systems. By achieving the above objectives, we aim to improve existing disaster emergency response processes, reduce manual costs, enhance response speed, and ultimately save more lives and protect more properties during catastrophic events.
