Summary: The project is to study the benefits and constrains of employing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in 5G mm-wave networks to tackle the challenge of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) mm-wave propagation. Using fixed IRS designs, we will investigate how to best design and deploy IRS's to extend and enhance the coverage of 5Gmm-wave networks. Such investigation will be based on some typical scenarios Telstra has identified.
