Eco-friendly Ultra-High Performance Rubberised Concrete

Summary: To reduce the carbon footprint of cement production in the construction industry, practitioners and researchers are actively developing green construction materials with less Portland cement consumption. A lot of trials have been attempted to develop concrete with industry by-products and wastes. By replacing natural aggregates in the concrete with rubber particles and also replacing energy-intensive cement with supplementary cementitious materials, this study aims to develop ultra-high performance eco-friendly rubberized concrete and explore its static and dynamic material and structural properties, the application in engineering practices such as roadside barriers will also be explored.
