NF-kB decoy oligonucleotide-loaded functionalized nanoparticles as a novel therapeutic intervention in asthma

Start year: 2024

Summary: We hypothesize that encapsulating an NF-kB decoy ODN in engineered nanoparticles has potential to reduce airway inflammation in asthma. In this context, we aim at developing NF-kB decoy ODN-loaded Spermine-functionalized Acetalated Dextran Nanoparticles (SpAcDeX-NPs) to deliver the NF-kB Decoy ODN to LPS-stimulated mouse macrophage cells (RAW264.7), a commonly used in vitro model of LPS-induced inflammation.
