Enhancing Genomic Testing Pathology Orders: A Digital Decision Support Tool

Summary: The proposal aims to develop a digital decision support tool to optimise genomic testing pathology orders. Despite genomic testing's potential, inappropriate test selection and inadequate utilisation persist, especially in non-genetic clinical settings. The tool targets non-genetic clinicians, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and expert recommendations. Methodology includes requirement analysis, iterative design, AI integration for personalised recommendations, dissemination, and evaluation. Expected outcomes include improved test appropriateness, clinician proficiency, and pathology efficiency.
