Sectoral pathways to limited global warming to below 2C using the One Earth Climate Model (OECM) - ECF 2024 [23287]
Start year: 2023
Summary: The project continues the successful modelling of decarbonising global, regional (OECD) and local (country-level) economies and sets sectoral pathways to limited global warming to below 2C using the One Earth Climate Model (OECM). Scientific evidence was demonstrated that 1.5C have already been exceeded, which makes this project more relevant and timely. The aims of the project are, first to interconnect the model to financial data services and create an interface for mainstream data providers to access data. Second to link the OECM model to the EU taxonomy, a regulartory framework used to categorise industrial GHG emissions. And finally, the project will improve communication, with a focus on financial instittuions and coverage in industry specific media, e.g. article in (Australian) Financial Review.
