Start year: 2024

Summary: This project will bolster Australia's defences against complex Information Operations (IO) by creating advanced information spread-based tools for detecting IO activities, assessing their effects, and developing effective countermeasures. Targeted geographic regions are critical to Australia’s interests: Melanesia, archipelagic S.E.Asia, the South China Sea region, and Taiwan. The project leverages the expertise of our multidisciplinary team, currently delivering a Defence Innovation Network-sponsored project countering the PRC's IO in Melanesia. Central to our approach is developing software prototypes, compatible with Defence's Resilient Decision Highway (RDH) framework and enhancing Australia's ability to counter emerging IO challenges in key regions.
