National Live Cell Analytics Facility for Organelles’ Interactome Discovery

Start year: 2025

Summary: The LIEF project aims to establish a National Live Cell Analytics Facility for Organelles’ Interactome Discovery. This facility will incorporate various cutting-edge equipment, including spinning disk confocal microscopy, polarization SIM, an extended excitation unit operating in the near-infrared spectrum, and an automated high-throughput screening workstation. Through this advanced optical imaging platform, Australian researchers in data science, biology, biophysics, materials, and engineering will collaborate to spearhead international advancements in cell biology methodologies. The facility will provide unparalleled capabilities for visualizing interactions among subcellular organelles and mapping out networks between cells.
