Bridging the theory-practice gap in leisure/event management education through industry-academia collaboration

Summary: This project focuses on the interdisciplinary fields of leisure studies and event management, emphasising the importance of collaboration between academia and industry. It highlights the necessity for graduates to have both technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Using case studies in teaching enhances students' understanding of theoretical concepts and prepares them for real-world scenarios. Through research-inspired teaching, impactful research, and industry partnerships, the project aims to improve graduates' employability. It contributes to tertiary education by fostering critical skills, problem-solving abilities, communication, and collaboration among students, ultimately enhancing their learning outcomes. This commitment to advancing knowledge strengthens LSA's reputation and relationships within the field, facilitating cross-disciplinary exchange.
