Digital Twin for 6G Initiative
Start year: 2024
Summary: This project aims to advance 6G technologies through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Twin. The project will commence with a comprehensive review of existing platforms that facilitate the digital twinning of wireless networks. These platforms will be critically evaluated to understand their capabilities, limitations, and suitability for integration with AI technologies. Following the review, the project will select the most promising digital twin platform(s). We will develop and train AI models specifically tailored to simulate, predict, and optimize 6G systems behaviours and operations in a virtual environment. This approach will not only enhance our understanding of 6G wireless networks under various conditions but also enable the testing of network modifications and deployments virtually before actual implementation. An integral part of this project will be the performance analysis. We will rigorously test the AI models using a series of metrics to evaluate accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Performance analysis will help in fine-tuning the models and the digital twin platform, ensuring that the simulation results are both reliable and indicative of real-world scenarios.
