A-Eye: Developing an artificial intelligence powered, non-surgical intracranial pressure measurement tool

Summary: Our pioneering project aims to revolutionise the detection of elevated ICP by developing a non-invasive eye imaging tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Led by CIA Golzan, our research has explored the biological link between the brain and the retina, resulting in a patent-protected AI-based framework capable of extracting brain-specific features from the retina. The current project focuses on optimising this AI-based framework, validating its accuracy by comparing with invasive, lumbar puncture ICP data, and enhancing its commercial viability. Additionally, we plan to integrate the advanced AI techniques developed by our team with the hardware and scalable AI-enabled solutions from our partner, oDocs Eye Care.
