Establishing a Benchmark for AI Object Detection in Heavy Industries

Summary: This project aims to establish a standardised benchmark for AI Vision Proximity systems in heavy industries, such as construction, mining, and manufacturing, to ensure safety at plant-person interfaces. Developed with industry experts, the benchmark will reflect real-world needs and involve data collection, manual review, system testing, and automated analysis. The outcome will be an industry-endorsed, automated standard to validate AI Vision Proximity systems, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance standards in safety-critical environments.
