An Optimized Power Forecasting System for Offshore Wave Energy

Start year: 2024

Summary: Offshore wave energy generation is characterized by randomness, intermittency, and volatility. When applying generators to wave energy conversion, large-scale integration of power generation devices can pose a challenge to the safe and stable operation of the power grid. Therefore, it is essential to forecast the wave power generation in advance. In this regard, this project will develop a wave energy power prediction system by integrating signal decomposition, artificial intelligence/deep learning models, and swarm intelligence optimization algorithms to achieve more accurate wave energy power predictions.
