[24355] Options for funding community housing retrofits

Summary: CHIA has asked for a report that makes the case for establishing a carbon credits scheme to fund energy performance upgrades to community housing. We have proposed a somewhat different approach based on insights from previous work on Green Wave (20281), Victorian Healthy Homes (17148) and Glebe (22219). The project is a continuation of CHIA NSW’s climate change work program, which aims to build industry capacity and capability to address climate risks. This work will support CHIA NSW’s advocacy on the need for funding and policy measures to support scaling up of decarbonisation.
